A Girl & A Gun is a women’s shooting organization focused on firearms education, skill development, confidence, and community.
Whether you have never fired a gun, have been shooting for years, carry for personal protection, enjoy competition, or simply want more opportunities to practice, there is a place for you here.
The Broward County FL chapter typically meets on the first and third Mondays of every month at Gun World of South Florida in Deerfield Beach. Check-in is from 6:00–6:30 PM, with range time from approximately 6:45–8:45 PM. Event details and RSVPs are posted in our Team App group.
MORE THAN A RANGE NIGHT
A Girl & A Gun is about more than showing up, shooting a few rounds, and heading home.
Our Broward County chapter gives women a place to learn, practice, ask questions, build skills, and spend time with other women who enjoy shooting or are simply interested in becoming more comfortable around firearms.
Some nights are focused on skill-building. Others may include drills, friendly challenges, equipment discussions, guest instructors, special topics, or simply time on the range together.
The goal is to create a welcoming environment where women can keep learning, keep practicing, and enjoy being part of a supportive shooting community.
Wherever You Are In Your Journey
You do not have to be an experienced shooter to join us.
Many women come to A Girl & A Gun because they want a comfortable place to become more familiar with firearms, meet other women who shoot, and gain experience at the range.
If you are brand new, we will help you understand what to expect and point you toward appropriate training so you can participate safely and confidently.
Questions are always welcome. You are not expected to already know the terminology, understand all the equipment, or feel completely comfortable on the range before you show up. Learning is part of why we’re here.
If you are already an experienced shooter, you will find opportunities to practice, challenge yourself, share your experience, and continue building your skills.
What Is A Girl & A Gun?
A Girl & A Gun is a national women’s shooting organization built around firearms education, skill development, safety, confidence, and community.
Local chapters give women opportunities to train, practice, ask questions, attend range events, and connect with other women who share an interest in shooting.
Activities vary by chapter and may include range nights, skill-building clinics, workshops, special events, competitions, and social gatherings.
Whether you are brand new to firearms or have years of experience, A Girl & A Gun offers opportunities to keep learning, build skills, and be part of a supportive shooting community.
