RIFLE TRAINING
Build Confidence. Develop Practical Rifle Skills.

Rifle training for new and experienced shooters using AR-platform and .22 LR rifles, with a focus on safe operation, marksmanship, firearm handling, and practical defensive skills.

From Fundamentals to Practical Skills

Rifle training helps students become more comfortable, confident, and capable with AR-platform and .22 LR rifles while reinforcing safe firearm handling and strong shooting fundamentals.

Instruction may include rifle setup and operation, sight or optic use, zeroing, marksmanship, shooting positions, sling use, reloads, malfunction management, and practical firearm handling.

As students build consistency and confidence, training can progress into basic defensive rifle skills such as movement, use of cover, positional shooting, and working efficiently with the rifle under more demanding conditions.

Our focus is practical rifle proficiency, not long-range precision or sniper-style training. The goal is to help students understand their rifle, use it safely and effectively, and build skills they can continue developing over time.

Progressive Rifle Training

Rifle training should build in a logical progression, starting with safe operation and strong fundamentals before adding more complex skills.

Newer shooters may begin with rifle setup, controls, loading and unloading, zeroing, marksmanship, sling use, and basic shooting positions. As confidence and proficiency improve, training can progress into reloads, malfunction clearing, movement, use of cover, and other practical defensive skills.

Some courses may have prerequisites or require demonstrated firearm-handling ability before participation. Students should begin at the level that matches their experience and build from there.

Skills We Build

Rifle training develops the core skills needed to safely and effectively operate an AR-platform or .22 LR rifle in practical shooting situations.

Specific skills and drills vary based on the course and the student’s experience.

Rifle Setup & Operation

Become familiar with the rifle’s controls, safe loading and unloading, basic setup, sling use, sights or optics, and proper handling.

Zeroing & Marksmanship

Develop a reliable zero and build consistent accuracy through proper sight alignment, trigger control, body position, and follow-through.

Shooting Positions

Practice stable shooting from standing, kneeling, seated, supported, and other practical positions as appropriate.

Reloads & Malfunction Management

Build smoother rifle handling through reload practice and the recognition and clearing of common malfunctions.

Movement & Use of Cover

For more experienced students, training may include safe movement with the rifle, movement to and from cover, and positional shooting around cover.

Basic Defensive Rifle Skills

Apply foundational rifle skills in practical drills that combine firearm handling, movement, accuracy, and basic defensive decision-making.

WHO IT'S FOR

Rifle Training is designed for new and experienced shooters who want to become more comfortable, capable, and consistent with AR-platform or .22 LR rifles.

Newer students may be learning rifle operation for the first time, working on zeroing and marksmanship, or becoming more comfortable with their equipment. More experienced shooters may want to improve firearm handling, shooting positions, reloads, malfunction management, movement, or basic defensive rifle skills.

Students should be able to follow range commands and safely handle the rifle at the level required for the course. Some advanced sessions may have prerequisites or require demonstrated proficiency before participation.
