FLORIDA CONCEALED WEAPON OR FIREARM LICENSE

Complete the firearms training needed for your Florida CWFL application.

Florida requires applicants to provide qualifying documentation demonstrating competency with a firearm. For instructor-led firearms training used for this purpose, Florida requires live fire with an actual firearm and ammunition in the physical presence of the instructor.

B2 Defense Training’s Florida CWFL class includes the required firearms training along with practical education designed to help you better understand firearm safety, responsible ownership, Florida carry considerations, and the licensing process.

WHO IT’S FOR

This class is designed for individuals who need qualifying firearms-training documentation for a Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License application.

It is also a good option for newer firearm owners who want more than the minimum live-fire requirement and would like a practical introduction to firearm safety, responsible carry, and the Florida CWFL process.

New to firearms? That’s okay. Let us know when you register so we can make sure the training format is appropriate for your experience level.

WHAT WE COVER

Firearm Safety • Florida CWFL Requirements • Florida Carry Law Overview • Responsible Ownership • Live-Fire Competency • Application Process

B2’s class goes beyond simply completing a live-fire requirement. We want students to understand what they are applying for, the responsibilities that come with carrying a firearm, and where continued training may be beneficial.

Legal information is provided for general educational purposes and is not legal advice. Firearm and carry laws can change, and students should consult current official Florida resources.

THE LIVE-FIRE REQUIREMENT

Florida requires qualifying instructor-led firearms courses to include live fire using a firearm and ammunition in the physical presence of the instructor.

To successfully complete the course and receive qualifying course documentation for a Florida CWFL application, students must demonstrate safe firearm handling and complete the required live-fire portion.

AFTER THE CLASS

Students who successfully complete the training receive documentation that can be used as qualifying firearms-training evidence with their Florida CWFL application.

Florida Department of Agriculture requires qualifying course documentation to identify the student and instructor and include the instructor’s credentials and certification or license number.

The actual CWFL application is submitted separately through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Applicants can apply online, by mail, or through participating in-person locations.
