PERSONAL SAFETY & PREPAREDNESS

Practical Skills for Everyday LifePersonal safety is about much more than carrying a firearm.Awareness, preparation, good decision-making, and knowing how to respond when something does not feel right can make a difference long before a situation becomes an emergency.

B2 Defense Training offers practical personal-safety programs for individuals, families, teens, young adults, professionals, and community groups. Programs can be presented as stand-alone seminars or customized for the needs of your group or organization. No firearms experience is required for most personal-safety programs.

SITUATIONAL AWARENESS

Learn how to be more aware of what is happening around you without becoming fearful or hypervigilant.

This seminar focuses on recognizing unusual behavior, identifying potential problems early, understanding environmental vulnerabilities, avoiding unnecessary risk, and making practical decisions before a situation escalates.

Topics can be adapted for everyday life, work, travel, parking areas, shopping, events, and other common environments.

EVERYDAY SAFETY FOR PARENTS & FAMILIES

Personal safety changes when you are responsible for children.

This program focuses on practical awareness and decision-making for parents and caregivers navigating parking lots, playgrounds, stores, events, public restrooms, travel, school activities, and other everyday situations.

Topics may include maintaining awareness while distracted, positioning yourself and your children, creating simple family safety plans, communicating with children about emergencies, and thinking ahead about what you would do if something unexpected happens.

REAL ESTATE AGENT SAFETY

Real estate professionals routinely meet unfamiliar people, enter vacant properties, work alone, and conduct appointments in locations where help may not be immediately available.

This seminar focuses on practical strategies for safer showings, open houses, client meetings, vacant properties, parking areas, and everyday business practices.

Training can be customized for individual agents, brokerages, offices, associations, and professional groups.

FIREARM SAFETY FOR EVERYONE

You do not have to own a firearm or enjoy shooting to know how to be safe around one.

This non-shooting seminar is designed for people who may live with a firearm owner, visit homes where firearms are present, encounter a firearm unexpectedly, or simply want to better understand basic firearm safety.

Topics may include fundamental safety rules, what to do if you encounter an unfamiliar firearm, safe-storage considerations, communicating with firearm owners, and helping children understand what to do if they find a gun.

No shooting is involved and no prior firearm knowledge is necessary.

CHILD FIREARM SAFETY & ACCIDENT PREVENTION

Children may encounter firearms even when there are no guns in their own home.

Age-appropriate firearm-safety education can help children understand that firearms should never be treated as toys and what they should do if they encounter one unexpectedly.

Programs focus on simple, memorable safety principles and can be adapted for families, youth groups, community organizations, and other appropriate settings.

Parent and caregiver education can also be incorporated.

COLLEGE & TEEN & YOUNG ADULT PERSONAL SAFETY

Greater independence brings new situations and new responsibilities.

This program addresses personal safety for college students and young adults in dorms, apartments, parking garages, rideshares, social settings, workplaces, travel, and everyday life away from home.

Topics may include situational awareness, boundary setting, recognizing concerning behavior, planning ahead, emergency communication, and practical options for getting out of uncomfortable or potentially dangerous situations.

TRAVEL SAFETY & SITUATIONAL AWARENESS

Whether traveling across town or across the country, unfamiliar environments can make it harder to recognize what is normal and what deserves attention.

This seminar focuses on practical safety habits for hotels, airports, rental vehicles, road trips, parking areas, tourist destinations, events, and family travel.

Participants learn ways to improve awareness, reduce unnecessary vulnerability, plan for emergencies, and make safer decisions while away from home.

MORE TOOLS IN YOUR TOOLBOX

Personal safety is not one-size-fits-all, and a firearm is not the right answer for every person or every situation.

This seminar explores additional personal-safety tools, strategies, and options that may help someone create a safety plan that fits their lifestyle, comfort level, abilities, and circumstances.

The focus is on understanding options, recognizing limitations, and developing multiple layers of personal safety rather than relying on any single tool.

NRA REFUSE TO BE A VICTIM® SEMINAR

The NRA Refuse To Be A Victim® program focuses on crime-prevention and personal-safety strategies that can be incorporated into everyday life.

Topics may include home, automobile, travel, personal security, technology, and strategies for reducing opportunities for victimization.
